(1) Research Publication Requirements (effective from Academic Year 2026 / AY 115)
- Doctoral candidacy: students must pass a qualifying examination in either Seminar on Practical Issues in Taiwanese Enterprises or Seminar on Management Theory. Detailed regulations and implementation guidelines for the qualifying examination are established by the Program Curriculum Committee.
- Students must accumulate at least 10 publication points to graduate, and at least one publication must be related to the topic of the doctoral dissertation. Points are calculated as follows:
(1) SCI, SCIE, SSCI, or TSSCI journals; journals rated Level B or above on the National Science and Technology Council's list of distinguished international journals; or an IVEY or Harvard case — 10 points each.
(2) A peer-reviewed case or journal article, domestic or international — 6 points each.
(3) A paper presented at an international academic conference recommended by the National Science and Technology Council in Management I, Management II, or Finance and Accounting — 4 points each.
(4) A paper presented at a domestic or international academic conference — 2 points each, up to a maximum of 4 points.
(2) The doctoral dissertation must demonstrate original insight in a management-related field, rest on a sound theoretical foundation, and contribute to solving complex problems faced by companies or organizations.
